Mid-Autumn Festival | Mid-Autumn party

The Mid-Autumn festival is a day for families to get together in China. On 26th September Haida organized a team building activity for foreign teachers to celebrate the coming Mid-Autumn festival. We carried out a series of team games, such as 'who am I', 'marbles picking', 'you perform, I guess', 'ball passing', 'lantern riddles' and so on. To our surprise, foreign teachers have successfully challenged one level after another with their tacit understanding. Just like an ancient Chinese poem s

Living in China | How to send money home?

It’s that time of year again where we’ve started back at work. We’ve begun to get to know our classes and are heading back into the teacher’s life. Next on the list is getting paid and planning ahead? Part of those plans are usually to pay our bills, either here in China or back at home and to pay them, you’ll need to send money back. So that’s what we’re looking at today. How can I send the money back to my home abroad?

Working with Haida has been a very good professional experience. I personally think that if you aspire to a stable life in China, look for a professionally growing work environment or want to develop a solid background of teaching skills, it is the right place for you. In fact, Haida offers weekly trainings and open classes in order to make teachers aware of their methods and Chinese classes are also provided to help teachers integrate better with local schools and institutions.

In terms of the job, I have been offered a very convenient working schedule and my school have made me feel very welcome. The students are motivated, the other teachers are very helpful, and the campus is incredibly pristine. Furthermore, any doubts or questions I have had surrounding the job, or any other aspect of life in China, have been addressed and dealt with by Haida, which has made the process much easier. Overall, I have had no difficulty in adjusting to my new life in Hangzhou; my school and Haida have helped me tremendously and I am excited for the year ahead.

Haida’s stuff were always very helpful and tried to solve all the problems efficiently and in a short period of time, so I really appreciate their effort and I am so happy with their job so far. My experience with my last company was not so good, so my first impression of Haida is very positive. I hope things will keep on be like this in the future.

Haida found me the perfect job, I love it. Florence was my recruiter, and she has been very helpful, nice and supportive. This company makes sure to find a good job. Everything is easier in this city, which is lovely. However this is my third year in China so I know how the things work. Haida is professional and serious. Everything went perfect with this company.

Ever since my first teaching contract, I’ve relied on the recruitment agency that employed me, namely, Haida. Little did I know that I would never regret it. So far I have worked in two major cities in China - Chengdu and Shenzhen, and apart from teaching experience, I have gained priceless cultural awareness.
